Required Income Calculator

Enter the monthly payment of your future loan and your maximum debt-to-income ratio to find out the net monthly income you need. The “Maximum payment” tab does the reverse: it calculates the monthly payment you can afford from your income.

Pourquoi utiliser cet outil ?

The debt-to-income ratio is the share of your income spent on repaying your loans. In France, the HCSF (High Council for Financial Stability) recommends that banks do not exceed 35% of net income, including borrower insurance.

Formula: required income = total monthly payments ÷ debt-to-income ratio. Example: 800 ÷ 0.35 = €2,285.71 net per month.

Indicative estimate only: banks also look at your remaining disposable income, down payment, income stability and loan duration (generally 25 years maximum).

Why it's free
